McLachlan Professor of History and Professor of Middle East History, Emeritus at Stanford University. Joel is a member of Havurah Shalom in Portland. He has taught versions of this class several times in congregations in the Portland area and online nationally. His teachings are accessible and offer depth and insight.

The US and Israel share numerous military-industrial-surveillance technologies and other economic projects. America continues to protect and defend Israel
